Its a Seedy Saturday Week

Its been a busy week as I am one of the volunteers helping out with the first Seedy Saturday in Ladner,BC . Yesterday I received a wonderful surprise in the mail. USC Canada sent me thirty five packages of seeds, some information about what they do and two large seed maps. I cant wait to put a table up to show people what this organization is all about. I have to thank Linda over at Tree and Twig Farm for giving us advice about how to get our Seedy Saturday off the ground.

The last few days I have been trying to get as many seeds packed up for our seed swap table. I now have a great appreciation for seed companies as counting seeds is not an easy job.
If you are wondering what a seed swap is, click here for all the guidelines. I am such a seedaholic, I have lots of leftover seeds to share. I hope others bring seeds to trade as I am always game to try something new. With February so close, its time to think about sowing seeds for the summer garden.
So if you have seeds to share bring them to Ladner Seedy Saturday to the seed swap table where we will make sure they are labeled. If you would like to drop them off ahead of time, contact me @ deltagardener@dccnet.com and we can arrange pickup or drop off.
