Look Whats in Bloom in December!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I took a walk in the garden today. I knew my Viburnum bodnantense was in full bloom but didn't expect to see anything else. The weather here has been very mild for December and we have had hardly any rainfall which is so unusual for the lower mainland of BC. Not that I am wishing for rain, this suits me just fine.

I have these Primulas planted throughout my front garden. I have heavy shade in summer from all the trees and they love the protection in summer from the hot sun. I planted a series of red and white Primulas in 2010 when the Olympics came to Vancouver. I had to show my patriotic pride, now didn't i?

This poor Primula is looking rather ragged. Its almost like its been splattered by mud. It probably got raked over a few times when hubby was cleaning the leaves. What have you got blooming in the garden? Did you plan for winter blooms?
